Wood

• Dust wood furniture regularly using a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive materials and household cleaners, as these may damage the finish. Wipe up spills immediately by blotting with a clean, damp cloth, then dry the surface thoroughly. Wood is a natural material that responds to its environment. Exposure to direct sunlight, moisture, and excessive heat may cause changes in color, texture, or appearance over time.

Natural Stone

• Natural stone is a porous material and is therefore susceptible to scratching, etching, and staining. It can absorb liquids, food, and other substances if left on the surface. To help protect against stains, all stone tops are professionally sealed. However, the sealant is not a guarantee that the surface is completely stain-proof.
• Avoid contact with acidic cleaning agents such as bleach and vinegar or acidic foods such as tomatoes and citrus fruit in contact with the stone. Do not use abrasive scrubbing pads on the stone. For extra protection, trivets should be used under hot objects, and coasters should be used under anything containing liquid.
• In the event of an accident wherein food is dropped or liquid is spilled, remove the food or blot the liquid immediately to avoid stains. Note that wiping a spill could spread the liquid to other areas of the stone surface. The longer a substance is left on the stone, the more likely it is to stain.
• Clean with a soft cloth using warm water mixed with a mild soap. Rinse with a damp cloth and dry immediately with a soft, absorbent cloth. Alternatively, Bar Keepers Friend Granite & Stone Cleaner & Polish may be used. Apply a small amount to a soft, dry cloth or paper towel and gently clean the surface using circular motions. Before using any cleaning product, test it on a small, inconspicuous area. Excessive soap or cleaner may leave residue, create streaks, or alter the stone's natural sheen.

Upholstery Fabric

• Blot spills immediately and wipe with a clean, damp cloth. For washable fabrics, vacuum and clean with mild soap (Perwoll pink is recommended). For delicate fabrics, professional dry clean is recommended. Cushions can be vacuumed and spot-cleaned. Pillows and inner stuffing should be vacuumed only.

Metal Parts

• Clean metal surfaces with a soft, damp cloth only. Do not apply metal polish to powder-coated, painted, or finished metal surfaces. Metal polish may only be used on genuine brass decorative accents, such as selected knobs or brass details on certain Vito Selma pieces.

Leather

• Clean minor stains using water, a mild detergent, and a soft, damp cloth. Remove any remaining cleaning solution with a clean damp cloth, then pat dry. For suede or nubuck leather, gently brush in the direction of the nap after cleaning or following any spill. Do not use bleach or harsh cleaning chemicals.

Shell Materials / Shell-Inlaid Items

Shell-inlaid items are handcrafted pieces that combine natural shell materials with wood (base), resin, and protective finishes. Proper care, storage, and cleaning are essential to preserve its natural beauty, prevent discoloration, and extend its lifespan. Regular and gentle cleaning will help maintain the table's natural luster and protect the delicate shell inlay.

• Clean with a soft, damp cloth. Use a microfiber or soft cotton cloth lightly dampened with water to remove dust and surface dirt. Use mild cleaning solutions only. If additional cleaning is needed, use a mixture of water and a mild hand detergent. This will help remove dirt and residue that may accumulate over time.
• Dry immediately after cleaning. Always wipe the surface with a clean, dry cloth after using a damp cloth to prevent moisture from lingering on the tabletop. Use soft cotton or microfiber cloth. These materials are recommended for cleaning both the tabletop and base, as they are gentle and non-abrasive.
• Avoid abrasive materials and harsh chemicals. Never use scouring pads, steel wool, abrasive cleaners, bleach, ammonia, solvents, or strong chemical products, as they can damage the shell inlay and protective finish.
• Clean spills promptly. Wipe up liquid spills immediately to prevent staining, water spots, or damage to the finish. Avoid excessive water exposure. Do not soak the tabletop or allow standing water to remain on the surface for extended periods.
